I have this feeling of uneasyness. I really have little to do before finals are over. All I need to do is study for my physics exam. I should be studying now but i feel uneasy. I am not worried about the test. I am not really worried about anything. I just feel like something is going to happen and i don't know what it is. Sometimes i just don't understand why i feel anything. i have weird unexplained feelings. Perhaps if there has to be a reason then i am feeling a change in the fabric of life. Maybe someone somewhere is hurting and i can feel it. It's possible.

I don't understand what is up with people avoiding eye contact if at all possible, even to the point of obviously looking at the ground or in the opposite direction of the person coming towards them. What are people afraid of? Human contact? If nothing else, that is what keeps me alive most of the time, and yet I just don't understand humanity.

How can anyone not like the rain? The pounding on a metal roof. The soothing drum roll on a canopy of trees, the intermittent plops on the window. The smell before the rain, when you know it is coming and you get that twinge of overwhelming excitement and the corners of your mouth turn slightly upwards. Your eyes shine with childhood glee. The smell when the world is wet, when everything is fresh and new. The slow start, the drops falling lightly on your shoulders. The excitement builds as you bound from drop to drop trying to catch as many as are willing to sooth your parched soul. The pounding of a heavy rain when you just give up and become drenched in the tears of the sky. Looking up into the rain, seeing the convoluted pieces of sky and water and buildings and trees and maybe even your excited hands, these things that make up life. All these pieces of the surrounding world we can see truly when seen through this filter, blinking and fighting to see everything we can, truth is just as clear as a rainy day.
The funny thing about rain is that you can't hold everything at once. One feeling overcomes you and the next is waiting but unacknowledged for the moment. Like theatre or dance or human interaction it is a cacophony of sounds and sights and feelings that cannot be understood simultaneously. Each sensation is to be internally analyzed sometime later in the quiet of ones subconscious, to be remembered as one event that can be expressed in a few words or in an elated outpour of ideas.
You can hear your laughter as you dance in the rain, but your tears disappear. Your heart leaps with your body as you create a rain dance begging the rain to stay. All feelings turn to elation as you savor the leaps and bounds of a caged bird set free, in the rain.
How can anyone not LOVE the rain?
